Shafqat Salamat Ali mesmerize classical music lovers

Ustad Shafqat Salamat Ali enthralled the funlovers with Ghazals and classical songs while Gulab Jamal from Khyber Pakhtunkwa performed on his popular tones on Rubab.

Salman Adil's melodious flute and Liaqat Ali's skill on Jaltrung and Santor was followed by Tabla (with Ejaz Nawaz) and Amir Hussain's popular songs on Sitar.

The singers were invited by Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in the musical evening "Saz-o-Ahang" to provide the residents of twin cities with entertainment through classical music.

The show was organized for the music lovers and create awareness among the young generation about their inherited traditions of classical music, its instruments and tones, said Tauqeer Nasir, Director General PNCA.

He said,"Pakistan has rich cultural heritage which needs to be preserved and promoted for improving soft image of country worldwide."

The PNCA and other cultural organizations are making efforts to preserve the musical heritage of Pakistan with proper documentation in the field and educating the youth about the value of their great heritage.
