SHIKARPUR: Two men belonging to Kehar tribe were killed in firing by Shar tribemen near Rais Waah on Shikarpur - Jacobabad National Highway in the jurisdiction of New Faujdari police station on Friday.

Yaseen Kehar, 45, and Raza Muhammad Kehar, 30, residents of village Gulab Kehar were gunned down by 4 to 5 armed men belonging to Shar tribe when the deceased were on their way on a motorcycle- rickshaw from Shikarpur to their village after attending the hearing of some case at the Session Court, Shikarpur.

The attackers were hiding at the road side and ambushed the motorcycle-rickshaw in which the deceased Yaseen and Raza Muhammad were riding.

Yaseen Kehar and Raza Muhammad Kehar were seriously injured in the firing and died on the spot.

The motive behind the incident was said to be an ongoing dispute between Shar and Kehar tribesmen after one Aarab Shar was killed during an encounter with rangers some 15 years ago.

The Shar tribesmen suspected that Kehars were involved in informing the rangers about the presence of Aarab Shar.

About 18 persons of both the parties have so far been killed in their armed clashes.

The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives after post-mortem at the Civil Hospital Shikarpur.
