LAHORE: Speaker Rana Muhamamd Iqbal Khan Sunday submitted nomination papers for his re-election as Speaker Punjab Assembly after he was nominated for the slot by the PML-M.

Earlier, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) nominated Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan as speaker and Sardar Ali Sher Gorchani as Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly.

The election will be held for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly on June 3 (Monday) at 05:30 pm during the PA session.
