PML-N nominates Dr Abdul Malik Baloch as CM Balochistan

MURREE: In a major move to honour his commitment and pacify the nationalist parties in Balochistan, PML-N President and Prime Minister designate announced the nomination of Dr Abdul Malik Baloch of National Party for the slot of provincial chief minister.

Nawaz Sharif made the announcement after a high level meeting with PKMAP and National Party leaders. He also said that the governor for Balochistan will be from the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP).

Nawaz said there would be a government in Balochistan free from the corrupt and pointed out that if there had been democracy, there would have been no violence in the province.

To a question about the role of FC in Balochistan, Nawaz Sharif said elected government made the policies and all other institutions were bound to implement the programme.

PkMAP Chief Mahmud Khan Achakzai said Punjab had shown broad heartedness and as a result they were standing together today. “today Punjab’s attitude is democratic, it has an agenda of democratic Pakistan, to fight against terrorism and corruption and Pashtun and Baloch are with it today. If Punjab will take one step for friendship and reconciliation, Pashtoons and Baloch will respond by taking two steps in return” he said.
