According to port sources, three more ships with containers and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 29% on Sunday where four ships namely C.V MSC Clemetina, M.T Argent Theresa, M.T Oceanic Coral and M.T Lahore are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, phosphoric acid, palm oil and furnace oil respectively.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 88,984 tonnes, comprising 71,884 tonnes imports and 71,100 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,100 containers (TEUs) (1,200 imports and 900 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port.
Three ships C.V MSC Clemetina, M.T Argent Theresa and M.T Oceanic Coral are expected to sail on Monday afternoon.
Four ships C.V Nysted Maersk, C.V Maersk Pittsburgh, M.T Donga Iris and M.T Theresa Galaxy carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively on Monday, while two ships M.T Al-Soor-II and M.V Dynamic Ocean are due arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday.
