KINGSTON: West Indies defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the first match of the three-nation one-day international series at Sabina Park on Friday.

Replying to the Sri Lankans' total of 208 all out off 48.3 overs, the West Indies reached 209 for four off 37.5 overs.
