Thailand and Cambodia reach ceasefire deal: officials

Earlier, firing from heavy weapons rocked the Thai-Cambodian border for the seventh day on Thursday as officials confirmed 15 dead in the bloodiest fighting between the neighbours in decades.

Meanwhile, eight Cambodian and six Thai troops have been killed since fighting began on Friday along the shared border, prompting growing diplomatic pressure on the neighbours to end the conflict.

Bangkok said a Thai civilian was also killed.
