South Korea bonds rise as Bernanke testimony offers support

SEOUL: South Korean bonds rose on Thursday, as testimony from US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke boosted investor appetites by downplaying risks of a rapid unwinding of the central bank's bond-buying stimulus programme.

Yield on the benchmark 10-year government bonds ended down six basis points, while lead September futures on three-year treasury bonds ended up 0.16 points at 105.79.
