He was presiding over a high-level meeting at the CM House here on Thursday. It was attended by high officials of the departments of Transport and Finance.
Chief Minister stressed that there was a dire need for improving the means of communication in the province and for this the government desires that all the projects under-consideration be given final shape at the earliest.
In a briefing from the Transport Department, it was informed from Karachi to five cities in the Interior namely Larkana, Sukkur, Nawabsahah and Hyderabad 100 buses would be deployed on the basis of public-private partnership.
However, the matter pertaining to subsidy from the government is under consideration.
Chief Minister directed that work on the projects of plying new buses from Karachi to Interior for the poor and middle-class people be completed at the earliest.
He said that like education, health, employment, transport is also among the priorities of the government.
The Chief Minister also formed a committee under Additional Chief Secretary (Planning and Development).
The meeting was attended by Adviser to Chief Minister on Finance, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Additional Chief Secretary, Arif Ahmed Khan, and Provincial finance Secretary, Suhail Ahmed Rajput, Secretary Transport Nazar Muhammad Kalhoro, Commissioner Karachi, Shaoib Siddiqui.
