CAIRO: The supreme guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammed Badie, has been arrested in Cairo, Egyptian officials said Tuesday.

The arrest came as authorities continued a crackdown on the Brotherhood, the party of ousted president Mohammed Mursi, which has sparked deadly protests and international condemnation.
