South Korea bonds rise as US housing data spurs Fed tapering doubts

SEOUL: South Korean bonds rose in domestic trade Monday, tracking US markets' leads as weak July housing data undercut bets that the Federal Reserve will start reducing its debt purchases next month.

Yields on the benchmark 10-year government bonds fell by five basis points, while lead September futures on three-year treasury bonds ended up 0.08 points at 105.66.
