Abductors demand huge ransom for ex-PM Gilani's son release

LAHORE: Vice Chairman, Pakistan Peoples' Party and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has been contacted by the kidnappers of his son, Ali Haider Gilani and demanded ransom of billions of rupees.

British news website, quoting a local TV channel saying Haider Gilani's abductors are demanding billions of rupees as ransom for the release of Ali Haider Gilani. A former MNA who is in contact with the abductors and Gilani has made it possible to hold talks.

Former PM Gilani has agreed to the demands. He also had telephonic talks with his son and had enquired about his health.

Ali Haider Gilani was abducted during election campaign in suburbs of Multan earlier this year.
