HYDERABAD: DIG Hyderabad Region Akram Naeem Tuesday said that 10,500 police personnel, including 800 commandos, would be deployed at the places of congregation in nine districts under the Eid security plan.

Police Spokesman Mazhar Shani said that Namaz-e-Eid will be offered at 856 mosques, Eidgahs and Imam Bargahs in addition to major congregations at 97 open places.

Mosques will be combed by bomb disposal squad prior to the prayers, while the parking arrangements would be made at a distance from the places of congregation.

The DIG has formed special police teams to prevent forced collection of hides.
