PESHAWAR: The Kohat police have seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a pick up that was being smuggled out to down the country from Dara Adamkhel FR Kohat and arrested two accused red handed.

Police said on Tuesday that on tip-off a suspected vehicle was asked to stop for search on Kohat-Rawalpindi Road.

Instead, the accused accelerated speed of the vehicle and was overpowered after a little chase.

During search, police claimed to have recovered two light machine guns, 11 Kalashnikovs, 42 pistols, magazines and a large quantity of rounds from the vehicle.

Two accused were arrested.

The Police have started investigation.
