MONTREAL: Canadian planemaker Bombardier announced Monday it had received a firm order for 10 of its Challenger 350 business jets worth US $259 million from an undisclosed buyer.

Bombardier said the 10 planes would be delivered with standard equipment, and added that the client had requested anonymity.

It was the second order secured in a week by the Canadian firm for its Challenger series. The previous order for five Challenger 300s and five Challenger 605 jets was worth US $280 million.
