Govt-Musharraf deal's rumours dismissed

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Chaudhry Jaffer Iqbal Friday dismissed the rumours of any deal between the government and former President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf.

The court was the competent forum to decide the fate of former president, he said talikng to newsmen here outside the Parliament House.

Chaudhry Jaffer Iqbal said the court decision regarding Pervez Musharraf would be implemented.

Responding to a question, he said Perez Musharraf should not be sent abroad as the country had sufficient treatment facilities.

Replying to anoter question, he said the energy crisis would recede in next two years. Domestic consumers should be provided natural gas.

People having vehicles could afford to run the same on petrol for a few weeks whereas the domestic consumers could not cook food and keep them warm without gas, he added.

The power crisis has been eased with the addition of 1700 mw to the national grid system, he said.
