Imparting quality education to PSHs children society's collective responsibility: Barjees Tahir

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit- Baltistan Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir Friday visited the ongoing Sports Carnival of Pakistan Sweet Homes, took keen interest and encouraged the children besides appreciating their talent.

Addressing the children, he said they were the future of the country and imparting quality education to the destitute children was the collective responsibility of the society.

Such events help enhancing capabilities of the children. He lauded the efforts of Managing Director Pakistan Bait ul Mal Barrister Abid Waheed Shaikh for providing opportunity to the destitute children to exhibit their talent.

The children proved that they can win laurels for the country if provided proper chance and opportunity.

Meanwhile, the children of Pakistan Sweet Homes (PSHs) Friday continued exhibiting their inherent talent and calibre in various games in second day of the Sports Carnival in Jinnah Stadium.

The children were participating in almost every game. There were healthy competitions among the children of 30 PSHs.

A number of dignitaries including Parliamentary Secretary for Interior Maryam Aurangzeb, MNA and ambassador of PBM Robina Khurshid Alam, MNA Zohra Fatima, former Managing Director Zamurrad Khan watched the performance of children with great interest.

Executive Director Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) Basharat A Mirza said his organization extends maximum cooperation to the children of Pakistan Sweet Homes. His company's policy was to ensure providing basic amenities to oil gas exploring areas.

Managing Director Barrister Abid Waheed Shaikh said that the OGDCL has contributed significantly in making possible the ongoing sports carnival. The MD thanked the participants.
