According to DNA India, Karan Johar’s latest film ‘2 States’ has taken a bumper start at the box office with registering 95-100 % occupancy in the morning shows.
The film, based on Chetan Bhagat's best-selling novel of the same name, was released in over 2000 screens across India. Heavy promotions and positive reviews have worked well for the film.
The romantic comedy is about two lovers from Delhi and Tamil Nadu, who face a mountain of problems convincing their culturally opposite parents for their marriage.
The film is co-produced by KJo and Sajid Nadiadwala and features Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leads.
