According to the latest data released by Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms upto April 25, Rs 46.269 billion has been released for various projects of Pakistan Energy Commission, out of its total allocations of Rs 52.3 billion, earmarked under PSDP for FY 2013-14.
A sum of Rs42.161 billion has been released for National Highway Authority out of the total allocation of Rs 63.038 billion for the current fiscal year.
Out of the total funds of Rs 25.7392 billion allocated for the National Health Service Regulations and Coordination Division for the current year, the government has released Rs 17.922 billion so far.
The Commission also released Rs 21.092 billion for Railway Division, out of its total allocations of Rs 30.9649 billion whereas Rs 672.262 million have been released for National Food Security and Research Division, out of its total allocations of Rs 750 million for the year.
Funds of Rs 14.357 billion have been released for Higher Education Commission, out of its total allocation of Rs 18.49 billion for the year 2013-14 whereas out of total allocations of Rs 2,364 billion earmarked for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Division, Rs 1.158 billion have been released so far.
According to the data, the Commission released Rs 43.963 billion for WAPDA (Power) out of its total allocations of Rs. 51.543 billion whereas Rs. 27.824 billion has been provided to WAPDA (Water Sector) out of its total allocations of Rs. 57.84 billion.
Meanwhile, Rs 8.737 billion has been released for Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA), out of its total allocations of Rs 10 billion for the current year.
The Commission also released Rs 9.298 billion for Cabinet Division, Rs 40.839 million for Climate Change Division and Rs 594.5 million for Commerce Division.
In addition, Rs 403.347 million has been released for Education and Training Division, Rs 5.685 billion for Finance Division, Rs 436.572 million for Industries Division, Rs 4.266 billion for Interior Division and Rs 106.794 million for Narcotics Control Division. The Commission, released Rs 41 million for Petroleum and Natural Resources Division, Rs 229.470 million for Planning and Development Division, Rs 1.559 billion for Science and Technology Research Division, Rs 194.659 million for SUPARCO and Rs. 314.98 million for Textile Industry Division.
Funds of Rs. 12.096 billion have been released for AJK (Block and other projects), Rs. 8.834 billion for Gilgit Baltistan (Block and other projects) where as Rs. 17.555 billion has been released for SAFRON/FATA.
The Planning Commission of Pakistan has been following a proper mechanism for the release of funds and accordingly funds are released as per given mechanism.
The Commission releases 20 percent of funds in first quarter (July-September), 20 percent in second quarter (October-December), 30 percent third quarter(January-March) and 30 percent in fourth quarter (April-June).
