It has been reported that Afridi will be reissued clearance to play overseas from the board after the former captain met with chairman Ijaz Butt on Tuesday.
Afridi will in turn withdraw his petition in the Sindh High Court, which was filed against the PCB decision to form a disciplinary committee and revoke his No Objection Certificate.
PCB Tuesday evening confirmed that a meeting was held in Islamabad. "PCB would not comment further on the issue," a PCB media release said after confirming that a meeting took place earlier on the day between Shahid Afridi and its chief.
Afridi retired from international cricket in protest after he was removed as ODI captain last month and criticized top PCB officials.
The PCB suspended Afridi's central contract and revoked his NOC, which stopped him from playing for Hampshire in the English Twenty20 tournament.
