Power tariff reduced by Rs1.88 per unit

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has approved to slash the power tariff by Rs1.88 per unit under fuel price adjustment formula.

According to NEPRA officials, power rates was reduced due to lower oil prices in the international market. They said that the market witnessed 6,173 rupee per ton decrease in furnace oil prices in April.

They said that in unit one of Jamshoro Power Company, Rs1.63 was reduced in prices while Rs1.88 per unit was reduced in plant two, three and four.

The relief would be adjusted in the fuel adjustment, they said.
