KIGALI: Rwanda's urban inflation rate was 1.9 percent in the year to May compared with 2.7 percent in the year to April, the statistics office reported on Tuesday.

Prices fell 0.7 percent over the previous month, the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda reported. Rwanda focuses on the urban inflation rate for monetary policy purposes.
