LONDON: Europe main stock markets closed in the red on Monday, with London's FTSE 100 index of top companies losing 0.34 percent to 6,754.64 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 ended down 0.29 percent at 9,883.98 points, while the CAC 40 in Paris slipped 0.73 percent to 4,510.05 points.
