LONDON: Europe's main stock markets closed mixed on Tuesday, with London's FTSE 100 index of top companies shedding 0.20 percent to end the day at 6,787.06 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.17 percent to 9,938.08 points, while the CAC 40 in Paris closed flat at 4,518.34 points.
