All CNG filling stations of Lahore, Gujranwala and Multan regions are remained closed to observe the first weekly holiday announced by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
Transport was thin as a large number of buses stayed off the road due to which people had to face immense problems.
Talking to APP here on Monday, a spokesman of Lahore Transport Company, Muhammad Amjad said that 80 out of 300 buses were grounded due to CNG closure on Monday and Tuesday but at the end of July, 200 more buses would arrive from China to improve the situation.
Senior Vice President, All Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, Ch Sadiq, said that there was no petrol shortage in the city as a huge quantity of fuel had been imported.
He said that long queues at some filling stations were only because of CNG weekly closure.
