LONDON: European stock markets closed broadly higher on Monday, with Frankfurt's main DAX index rising 0.61 percent to 9,154.14 points.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index ended largely flat at 6,677.52 points, while in Paris the CAC 40 added 0.34 percent to 4,217.22 points.
