ISLAMABAD: Police in Islamabad on Saturday fired tear gas on anti-government protesters who were marching in front of the prime minister's official residence in a bid to force his resignation, witnesses said.

The tear gas shelling began when the protestors tried to remove some barricades in front of the building as well as other key government buildings.
