LONDON: European stock markets closed mixed on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.02 percent to 6,830.11 points.

In Paris, the CAC 40 closed slightly down 0.04 percent at 4,450.79 points, while Frankfurt's DAX index lost 0.11 percent to 9,700.17 points.
