The two-member bench headed by Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja heard the case. During the course of proceedings, the Advocate General Punjab submitted an affidavit before the bench regarding regularization of services of LHWs. The court rejected affidavit and directed to issue their appointment letters without any further delay.
The Advocate General Sindh informed the court that the provincial government has completed 50 per cent work for regularization of LHWs services. On which, Justice Jawwad remarked that the court had issued its directives one month ago but it was not implemented in true spirit.
He observed that if the provincial governments failed to issue permanent appointment letters to LHWs then the court would issue show cause notices.
Later the court directed all four provincial governments to submit affidavits and issue letters within 24 hours and adjourned hearing of the case till Friday (November 28).
