According to a notification issued here on Friday, the ban will not be applicable on women, children, senior citizens, disabled persons, journalists, the personnel of Law Enforcement Agencies/Security Agencies in uniform and employees of essential services.
The Home Department has also suspended the permissions to carry weapon on Jan 3 and 4.
