European stocks push higher

PARIS: Europe's main stock markets shrugged off Monday the election of an anti-austerity party in Greece to close higher, with London's FTSE 100 rising 0.29 percent to end the day at 6,852.40 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 index jumped 1.40 percent to a new record close of 10,798.33 points, while in Paris the CAC 40 climbed 0.74 percent to 4,675.13 points.
