JAKARTA: Indonesia's foreign tourist arrivals in December rose 6.35 percent from a year earlier against a fall of 5.32 percent in November, the statistics bureau said on Monday.

Data showed 915,300 tourists came to the country in December, up from 764,500 people who visited in November. Southeast Asia's largest economy attracts fewer tourists compared with some of its neighbours. A bigger industry could aid the country's wide current account deficit.
