ANKARA: The Turkish government budget showed a surplus of 3.8 billion lira ($1.55 billion) and a primary surplus of 8.8 billion lira in January, the Finance Ministry said on Monday.

The figures compare with a deficit of 11.3 billion lira and a primary deficit of 9.9 billion lira in December, according to data previously released by the ministry.
