Pervez Musharraf treason case: hearing adjourned till March 25

ISLAMABAD: The two member bench of the special court comprising Justice Yawar Ali and Justice Tahira Safdar Special court, Tuesday adjourned hearing of former President Pervez Musharraf treason case till March 25 on the request of lawyers.

During proceedings, Justice Yawar Ali questioned lawyers whether federation has challenged Special Court order to include co-accused former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, then law minister Zahid Hamid and former chief justice Abdul Hameed in the matter, or not.

Musharraf's lawyer Faisal Chaudhry answered that the special court decision was not challenged by the government in accordance to his knowledge.

Barrister Sharjeel member of the prosecution team said that Shaukat Aziz, Zahid Hamid and Abdul Hameed Dogar have filed the petition(s) in Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Faisal Chaudhry said that the case was also being tried in the IHC hence the hearing should be adjourned till its decision.
