SKARDU: Skardu was in grip of severe cold wave after a snowfall and rain on Sunday the mountains in Skardu, Ghanger districts are covered with snowfall.

Several parts of the country received rain and snowfall on the mountains specially, in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit Baltistan, Malakand and tribal areas.

Snowfall on the upper mountainous areas including Neelum, Keel, Gareez, Lipa and Kahota turned weather chilly.

According to Met department, the more rain and snowfall on the mountain in next 24 hours are expected in the areas.
