Rupiah climbs on short-covering, suspected inflows

SINGAPORE: The Indonesian rupiah rose more than 1 percent against the US dollar on Monday, with market participants citing position squaring and possible inflows into Indonesian bonds.

The rupiah rose 1.4 percent against the greenback to 13,730 , pulling away from a two-month low of 14,090 set on Dec. 14.
