SINGAPORE: The Indonesian rupiah rose more than 1 percent against the dollar on Tuesday, up for the fourth straight day after the US Federal Reserve's interest rate hike last week was accompanied by assurance that further monetary tightening will be gradual.
The rupiah last stood at 13,620 versus the dollar , up about 1 percent on the day. It rose to as high as 13,530 according to Thomson Reuters data, matching a peak set on Nov. 11.
