PESHAWAR: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday announced schedule to fill reserved seats in Tehsil, Town and district councils of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which were secured by different political parties but remained vacant due to exhaustion of priority lists of their respective candidates.

In a notification issued here it was advised to the political parties to submit details of candidates to Returning Officers (ROs) from December 31 to January 1. Scrutiny of nomination papers by the ROs would be made from January 2 to January 4. The candidates can file appeals against decisions of the ROs abo

ut accepting or rejecting the nomination papers on January 7 while tribunal would decide about the appeals on January 9, it said.

The candidates or political parties can withdraw their papers till January 11 while the revised list of candidates would be made public on January 12 and results by the ROs would be announced on January 14.
