KARACHI: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) will resume hearing of suo-moto case regarding the target killings in the city on Tuesday at courtroom No.1 at Branch Registry. A 5-member special bench headed by Chief Justice Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will hear the case.
The Deputy Registrar, Supreme Court, Branch Registry, Karachi, Zubair Sabir in a release said that entry into the court room will be regulated through passes to ensure proper decorum and smooth functioning of the court.
He said the passes will be issued to the petitioners, respondents and their counsel appearing in the court.
The entry of journalists who regularly cover the proceedings will also be made through passes.
As regards others, passes will be issued to all who are interested to watch the court proceedings but subject to seating capacity in the courtroom.
Entry into the court building will be allowed after checking and searching of bags and purses, etc.
Cell phones will not be allowed inside the courtroom, the Deputy Registrar said.
