791 Pakistani prisoners in Greece: NA told

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Commerce Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan on Thursday informed the National Assembly that 791 Pakistanis were locked up in different jails of Greece.

In a written reply during question hour, he said 289 prisoners have been accused of committing crimes against other persons, 30 for human smuggling, 204 for offenses against property and 133 for drug offences.

He said the government provides legal assistance to only those who go abroad legally but could not help those who were residing illegally.
