A top military officer told Congress on Thursday a Pakistan-based terrorist group is actively attacking American troops across the border in Afghanistan and is an "arm" of the Pakistani intelligence agency.
Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen has accused Pakistan bluntly of aiding and abetting the Haqqani Network extremists.
"The Haqqani Network, for one, acts as a veritable arm of Pakistan's intelligence," Mullen said.
Responding to that Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Friday said that if US has any such proof it should be shared with the Pakistani government.
Talking to CNN Khar rejected the US allegations saying that the Pakistani government is concerned over these allegations as the country is an ally to the US in war against terrorism.
“US will lose Pakistan as an ally,” she said.
The Foreign Minister said that Pakistan has already sacrificed hundreds of innocent lives in over 311 suicide attacks, adding instead of finger-pointing US and Pakistan should work together against terrorism in the region.
