All kind of political gatherings and gathering of more than five people would remain banned for a period of one month in the metropolis.

Sources in Home department told Business Recorder that after the protest demonstration by the Peoples Amn Commitee mainly Baloch people of Lyari against the United States recent threats to Pakistan and in order to control street agitation on the roads, the Sindh government has taken this decision and imposed Section 144 in the city for a period of 30 days.

The ban will help government contain the growing hatred among the people of the province to against the United States of America for what the sources claimed ‘recent threats’ to the sovereignty of the country.

Sources disclosed that President Asif Ali Zardari took notice of the massive protest demonstration by the Balochs of Lyari area outside the Consulate General of United States and instructed the authorities to ban the gathering of more than five people until the recent tension between the Pakistan and US cooled-down.
