All in a day's work! - Good bye...LFO.! Welcome...SAARC!

03 Jan, 2004

So its time for saying good-byes!
To the year 2003?
No, I was referring to LFO!
Ya Islamabad is all set to say good-bye to LFO.
After wasting time for more than one year.
True, but who cares!
Now its time to say welcome!
To 2004!
No to sarc summit guests!
My dear, we r not allowed to welcome them. The areas are being cordoned off! Agencies ensured that no ordinary person or common man is near by. A distance of at least 10 km is ensured.
Really!
Ya the capital is almost sealed.
Have heard that is being divided into Zones.
Three declared red.
Yes red alert is the word of the moment.
Meaning?
Nothing,
Agencies are Red alert since two successive attacks on the president.
Can't understand, the security attacks on a person who is protected by police as president and by army as chief of army staff.
Allah protects my dear!
Ya , may be Vajpayee also believes in his Bhagwan that his programme is still on!
The agencies are having round the clock briefings for security arrangements since last two weeks.
My dear, no matter how hectic they are, briefings are always better than de briefings.
By the way, what is meant by debriefing, can u help me?
No, better forgive me, if I say I understand the phrase they may come after me for de- briefing.
So the president met all the provincial assembly members before seeking vote of confidence.
That is called pre election campaign my dear. The president addressed the assembly members.
By calling all of them at Islamabad instead of visiting them.
Oh! That was for security reasons. We can't afford another suicide attack.
True, not to mention the cost of calling so many provincial assembly men at capital as the common man in our country is used to afford the expenses of our beurocracy and the parliamentarians.
Thanks God, the president survived the attack, not to mention the 16 innocent lives lost and 46 injured who happened to be on the road or alongside the road at the moment.
So better be careful, never take route having remotest possibility of any VVIP passing by!
True! The authorities are already taking care of that.
How?
They are sealing the capital for three days. Local holiday in Islamabad is under consideration.
For three days? What about the cost of closure of business in capital?
My dear security is the prime concern!
What else?
By the way, it was informed that the capital hospital would be unable to extend medical facilities in case of emergency to VVIPs.
Why?
Because the VVIP floor of the hospital has been turned in to sub-jailed for Asif Zardari for the last 7 years. It is not available for public. Not to mention the administrative cost the hospital is incurring in this regard, the already meager hospital funds intend to be used for health care.
Really!
But why?
U know the reasons! security is the prime concern, who cares for the health care of a commonman.
