More than five armed dacoits looted a stock of cotton yarn and gray fabric worth Rs 0.6 million from a weaving factory in industrial area of Liaquatabad No 2, early in the morning.
According to details, five armed bandits forced their entry into a weaving factory of Malik Mohammed Iqbal in Liaquatabad No.2 industrial area early in the morning and held up the staff members including a Chowkidar at gunpoint.
Later, the accused herded them off into one of the rooms when they snatched from them the keys of godown. They loaded cotton yarn and gray cloth worth Rs 0.6 million in a truck and fled away after locking the doors from outside.
Another incident, more than 20 armed dacoits loaded iron guarder and other valuables into a truck on gun point from a under construction flour mills situated on Sidhar Bypass. Police has registered a case, but no clue has been reported so far.
At Haq Bahoo Chowk, on Millat Road, three armed dacoits deprived a doctor and three patients of cash and valuables at pistol point.
At bus stop of 194RB, Shehzad Ali, an employee of Textile Processing Mills was injured during indiscriminate firing of robbers.
He was removed to Allied Hospital, where his condition was reported to be serious.
