Opposition parties urged to focus on development of country

Senator and Former Information Minister Nisar Memon has called upon opposition parties to focus on development, progress and prosperity of the country.
Speaking in a PTV programme he said 17th amendments has been made in the constitution with two third majority. It has ended the political deadlock in the country.
Now opposition parties should focus in resolving problems of the masses and work for development of their areas, he added.
He said LFO issue was not a problem of common man as people want employments opportunities, progress, prosperity and development work of their areas.
He appreciated the role of President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali in resolving the LFO issue.
Nisar Memon said President General Pervez Musharraf was an elected President in referendum with majority, but he (President) sought vote of confidence just to end the political deadlock in the country.
Former Information Minister said after positive development on political side in the country now European Union and Commonwealth should review their decision regarding Pakistan.
He highlighted the efforts and achievements of the President during his three years period.
He said after 9/11 the stand taken by the President Pervez Musharraf have been appreciated by the international community.
Nisar Memon said reforms and policies introduced by the Musharraf government has strengthened the country's economy and improved image of the county abroad.
Replying to a question about India Pakistan relations, he expressed the hope that it will improve as Pakistan has announced as number of confidence building measures in the recent days.
He said Pakistan always ready to hold talks with India on all issues including the core issue of Kashmir.
Participating in the programme Member National Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Finance Umar Ayub said President Pervez Musharraf has secured 658 vote in the Senate, National and Provincial Assemblies which will give more confidence to him.
He appreciated the MMA role in resolving political deadlock in the country.
He called upon the elected representatives to concentrate on problems of their areas as they were ignored due to political deadlock.
