The University of Karachi is organising a seminar on "Saarc and the future of South Asia" under the auspices of Department of International Relations' programme on peace studies and conflict resolution.
The seminar will be held at a local hotel on Tuesday at 5:30pm. Executive Director, Regional Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies, Karachi and Patron of the programme, Brigadier A. R. Siddiqui (Retd) will preside over the programme.
While, those who will also deliberate on the issue include executive-director, Regional Centre for Strategic Studies, Colombo, Professor Sridhar Khatri, president, Institute of Hazarath Mohammad (SAW), Dhaka, Major General Syed M. Ibrahim (Retd), Professor Dr Haroon-or-Rashid of University of Dhaka, Professor Dr Moonis Ahmar of University of Karachi, Professor Dr P. Sahadevan of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Deepak Thapa of Himal Association, Kathmandu and Dr S. I. Keethaponcalan of University of Colombo.
