Directive to expedite loan recovery

Registrar Co-operatives Punjab Khalid Pervez has directed the district officers of the department to expedite the pace of recovery of stuck-up and over due loans of the Punjab Provincial Co-operative Bank Limited (PPCBL).
He issued these directives while addressing a joint session of the senior officers of Co-operative Department here on Wednesday.
The meeting also reviewed the recovery targets assigned to the officers and the issues relating to recovery of loans disbursed during the Kharif crop 2003, medium term loans and short term loans etc.
The registrar, who is also president of the bank, gave approval of letters of appreciation for the district officers Pakpattan, D.G. Khan, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar and Bawalnagar against their performance in recovering of outstanding loans.
Chief Auditor Co-operatives Punjab Muhammad Saleem Pirzada, Joint registrars Saqib Aleem, Basharat Ullah Amjad, general manager of the bank Raja Allah Busksh, zonal chiefs and district officers of the Co-operatives Department also attended the meeting.
