Efforts on to curb crimes in Gujranwala: DIG

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) police Gujranwala range Mohammad Altaf Qamar has said that adequate efforts are being made to curb crimes on top priority basis in Gujranwala range.
Addressing the members of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Wednesday afternoon here, he added that special attention has been accorded on maintaining law and order and for this, police was mobilising all available resources and means fox scaling down the crime graph with the sole aim to protect the life and property of the citizen.
The DIG police assured the members of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) that effective measures have been taken for crushing the criminals in Sialkot on top priority basis adding that results of these efforts would be visible in near future.
Earlier, the DIG performed the stone laying ceremony of Model Police Station Hajipura. It was worth mentioning that model police station Hajipura would be completed in two months stipulated period at a cost of Rs 2.5 million provided by the Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) Sialkot.
Speaking on the occasion Mohammad Altaf Qamar said that CPLC would bridge the gap between public and police in the district.
He said this model police station would serve the people and help reduce the crime graph in the area.
On this occasion the DIG police administered the oath to the members of CPLC. Later he laid the foundation stone of model station.
