Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain has said that Turkey is very keen in widening co-operation in every field as well as to increase volume of bilateral trade with Pakistan on top priority basis.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday after his visit to Turkey he added that the Turkish government was making efforts for doubling the existing trade volume between the two countries.
The Turkish leaders have appreciated the efforts of Pakistan for holding a successful and result-oriented Saarc summit and hailed a major breakthrough between Pakistan and India, he added.
Amir Hussain further said that the Turkish leaders opined that this historic breakthrough would not only help promote mutual relations between Pakistan and India but also open new era of development and prosperity in South Asia.
The Turkish leaders also welcomed that Pakistan and India have agreed on holding composite dialogues for resolving their different issues next month, he added.
Chaudhry Amir Hussain said that the Turkish leaders have also praised the efforts of Pakistan for eradicating the terrorism.
The National Assembly Speaker said the Saarc pact would go a long way in encouraging mutual co-operation in trade, industry and social sectors as well as expanding investment and production opportunities of the member states.
