Germany denies report Schroeder to rejig cabinet

A German government spokesman denied a newspaper report on Thursday that Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder is considering a cabinet reshuffle, including removing Finance Minister Hans Eichel and Interior Minister Otto Schily.
Germany's top-selling Bild daily cited unidentified sources close to Schroeder as saying the chancellor planned a reshuffle by the summer, to replace underperforming cabinet ministers with new faces two years before the next general election.
